After the introduction of the new molecular kits (RT-PCR) to detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus, today we announce another great 2022 novelty for Carlo Sessa: the new collaboration with the Italian-British company Hyris.

With offices in London and Milan, Hyris designs, develops and markets all the components of a platform allowing genetic testing in any type of environment.

HYRIS bCUBE™️, and the new collaboration with HYRIS SYSTEM™️: the platform

The Hyris System™️ platform is based on Hyrs bCUBE™️ using real-time PCR. In detail, it consists of:

  • HYRIS bCUBE™️: miniaturized portable device for Real-Time PCR and isothermal amplification of nucleic acids,
  • HYRIS bAPP™️ / HYRIS bDATA™️: software applications for device control and data management.
  • HYRIS bKIT™️: validated reagents for the specific recognition of plant, pathogen, probiotic DNA.

All components of this platform allow genetic testing in any type of environment, by non-experts and outside large laboratories. The platform is aimed in particular at the healthcare (COVID-19), veterinary, environmental and industrial sectors.

HYRIS bCUBE™️, and the new collaboration with Hyris: practical uses

Practical uses of Hyris System™️ technology include certification of exact species in plant and probiotic samples and check of plant condition (detection of viruses, bacteria and fungi).

The same can be used in the quality control of the food industry: sophistication, GMO and microbiological contamination. Furthermore, it can be used for research and development purposes, both in the laboratory and in the field, for animal speciation or genotyping, for environmental and pharmacogenomics tests.

HYRIS bCUBE™️ and HYRIS bAPP™️: Data management

Hyris System™️ has developed proprietary software for data management, allowing the user to:

  • Control instruments wherever they are, from any type of device (PC / MAC, mobile, tablet)
  • Collect data from multiple iCUBE “swarms”, which can be used over a large geographical area, different production sites, etc.
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret the collected data and issue third-party certificates through the Hyris bDATA™️ platform
  • Manage users and accesses to the platform

HYRIS bCUBE™️ and HYRIS bKITS™️: Molecular reagents

To round the offer of the Hyris System™️ platform, HYRIS bKITS™️ are sets of reagents to carry out individual and specific genetic analysis.

They allow to:

  • recognize specific DNA / RA sequences
  • specifically detect botanical species, plant pathogens, probiotic species, pathogens, Covid-19
  • automatically set the protocol via QR code
