Microalgae and cyanobacteria are single microscopic cells existing in aquatic environments for over 4 billion years. AlgoSource and microalgae for human health: Spirulina liquid extract and Chlorella Vulgaris
The sources on which AlgoSource products are based are Spirulina liquid extract and Chlorella Vulgaris.
Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) belongs to cyanobacteria (or green / blue algae). The liquid extract of spirulina has a high content of phycocyanins, i.e. active molecules of spirulina, and is especially suitable for vegan or vegetarian diets.
In addition to many beneficial properties, it includes high quantities of Vitamin A and B12 as well as minerals, and is a source of antioxidants.
Chlorella is a unicellular green alga growing in fresh waters. It has a high concentration of chlorophyll and contains 60% of the proteins which are useful for the daily human needs. Its nutritional qualities are closely related to the quality of the raw material. Therefore AlgoSource cultivates these algae by using photobioreactors: these highly technological culture systems allow the control of the environmental parameters.
AlgoSource and microalgae for human health: Spirulysat®
In this post we start presenting the first of AlgoSource products based on microalgae, namely Spirulysat®, the Spirulina liquid extract.
It is an extract with a high concentration of phycocyanin, which has beneficial properties for the human body.
Spirulysat® has several benefits:
- High bioavailability: the liquid form allows a very high availability of the active molecules and a rapid assimilation by the body;
- 100% natural: SpirulysatR is a pure extract without the addition of chemicals or solvents. The extract has a neutral taste when diluted in a little quantity of water.
- Improved efficiency: the antioxidant activity of phycocyanins in the liquid extract is 50 times as much as in dry spirulina.
The SprilulysatR liquid extract is it is an ideal component for supplements in vegan or vegetarian diets, it is also low in calories. It is a source of antioxidants and therefore it strengthens the immune system.
